It was a little complicated to start putting together, but once I got going it was easy to finish. It feels nice and sturdy and came with an anti-tip strap to screw into a stud in the wall, which was great! It’s very spacious, I love the shelf at the top. Overall I’m very pleased.
We bought this to use as a bookshelf, not toy storage. So I cant speak to how it holds up for copious amounts of toys.Its incredibly spacious for a bookshelf. We have tons more books to add and there is plenty of space for them. The space is great for the quantity of books, as well as the height of larger books. The middle shelves can fit our large books easily. I also like that the top is a shelf too so it can house huge books or knick knacks, etc without them falling off.It took about 45 minutes to an hour to assemble. The instructions are a 3 out of 5. They were just pictures which I dont mind, but the pictures didnt communicate the process clearly enough.As far as nit picking, one of my biggest pet peeves is that the product pictures dont show the screws, yet there are no stickers in the package or in the parts list. I didnt get the white stickers to cover them. Either way theyre visible which I dont care for because I was under the assumption based on the product pictures that they wouldn't be. I havent experienced any weird smell or any odor at all.

First thing, this is made of MDF, not engineered hardwood like i thought. (Not a dealbreaker, but it influenced our decision not to store the humidifier on it!) Notably, there was no smell when we opened the packaging, so once assembled it was good to go. Based on our understanding I was prepared to let it air out a few days first, so it was a nice perk not to have to do that. All the pieces and parts were present. The assembly instructions were generally good and helpful, although we did find that when we were assembling the bottom shelves that we had to do a couple steps out of the described order to make it fit together the way it needed to. Assembly took about an hour.Fully assembled, this is a pretty stable piece of furniture with ample storage space. We got it to replace a tall, skinny bookshelf in our toddler's room and it's just right for the space we hoped to fill. We know the white lacquer and mdf material won't hold up forever, but for the price, we are very pleased with this.
Easy to put together. Works perfect for books and toys. I chose this one because of the lip on the top shelf. I felt this allowed for an extra shelf of books because they won't fall off the back. It is not really tall, so my grandson can reach the top shelf to get his books or toys. I have actually ordered two, and I've painted grey on one of them. (Only have pictures of 2 of them.)
when I bought this bookshelf, my Intent for it to be my daughters bookshelf. However, we ended up putting it in the living room and our cats. Use it now to watch the birds outside the window. Needless to say it has multiple uses. I love this open concept shelf because it gives my daughter the opportunity for independence to grab her own books and toys. It was easy to assemble and very sturdy compared to other shelves I have bought in the past.
